Possible Outcomes
Visa Issuance
If the officer is satisfied that you qualify and all requirements are met, the immigrant visa may be approved and issued. You will be told how and when to collect your passport and visa.
A Request for Additional Documents
The officer may ask for additional documents to complete the review. If this happens, follow the instructions exactly and provide the requested documents through the channel specified by the embassy.
Administrative Processing
Some cases are placed in administrative processing for further review. This does not necessarily mean refusal. It means additional checks are required before a final decision can be made.
Refusal Under Applicable Immigration Law
